Join us at Alien Con for Star Trek, Star Wars, and Sci Fi Law!

I am extremely honored to be moderating the Star Trek Anniversary panel at Alien Con on October 30 in Santa Clara. The Star Trek legends on the panel are Gary Lockwood, Sean Kenney, and Bobby Clark. A huge thank you to Phil Kim from Famous Monsters of Filmland for asking me to moderate the Star Trek Anniversary panel.

We have two legal panels at Alien Con. Check out our full schedule below for Sunday October 30:

10:30am-11:30am – Alien Law from Comics and Movies

How did the Danvers legally adopt Supergirl? Was Peter Quill the legal owner of the Infinity Stone found on Morag? What are the legal rights of someone from Earth-2 on Earth-1? Could the Kree Empire be sued on toxic tort liability for Terrigen Crystals?  Join us to find out the answers to these questions and more from the Marvel and DC Universes, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Supergirl, The Flash, and Agents of SHIELD.

12pm-1pm- Star Wars Law

Star Wars is more than a space opera, it is an adventure in the law! Was Han Legally Justified to Shoot First? Did Kylo Ren commit desecration of Anakin Skywalker’s corpse? What are the employee safety issues in Jabba’s Palace? Did Poe lose his ownership rights to BB-8? Could someone be prosecuted for torturing a Droid? Join us to know the ways of the law.

2:30-3:30pm – Star Trek Trek Anniversary

Join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek with Original Series legends Sean Kenney (The Menagerie, Arena, and A Taste of Armageddon), Bobby Clark (Arena, The Return of the Archons, and Mirror, Mirror), and Gary Lockwood (Where No Man Has Gone Before).  We will ask each to share their Star Trek memories, what their involvement means to them, and thoughts on Gene Roddenberry’s optimistic future. Moderated by Joshua Gilliland from The Legal Geeks.
